Needless to say, I've lost count of the number of times I've seen these movies, among the oh-so-many 80's fave flix. And every time I watch these movies, my focus always kinda hone in on one aspect of the movie. It's always a different focus every time.
This time, it's Molly Ringwald's outfit in The Breakfast Club.

First, I noticed her top as it reminds me of the shirt that I decided not to get at Topshop. Then I noticed the rest of the outfit. Not that I haven't paid attention to it, but more so today, I suppose.
It got me thinking how Claire (Molly Ringwald's character) will fit in just fine in today's world, albeit with a bit of tweaking.
This would've been my version:

So there goes my ode to Claire.
On another note, got a message from a friend yesterday about a sale that she knows I will not be able to resist as it involved a pair of shoes that she knows I've been looking for a while now. Not that it was so difficult to find, but more so I wanted it a certain price point (translation: sale price).
In short, as I thought of Claire earlier, today's purchase ends up being an ode to Allison (Ally Sheedy's character).

I know I'm aging myself, but what can I say, I'm a product of the 80's... "don't you forget about me..."
Don't you forget about me...don't don't don't don't!
